This little guy had an interesting life. The original painting was quite different and it was much bigger. About 20x30 inches, I think. It was sold to a collector along with two other paintings. He thought all three paintings looked too similar and wanted to exchange this one for a different painting. Of course being an insecure and emotional artist that I was, I took this as rejection. I painted over the perfectly fine original image, cut it up and ended up with this little image above. I only have note cards of the original painting and people always ask me where the painting is. Now you know.
