Well, I finally did it! My friend Kim and I went out to Irvine Regional Park and painted en plein air. The sunburn, the glare, the noise, the bugs, the moving trees and shadows... what a thrill, painting in nature! Actually, the real first time was about 25 years ago...on a nice rainy day! Good thing oil and rain don't mix.
