The small series of 'Super Bloom" painting were inspired by many hikes I took in Southern California. Due to the unusual amount of rain we had in the Spring of 2017, the usually golden brown rolling hills turned orange, yellow, green and purple! Poppies, lupines and mustard flowers were everywhere and the colors were just spectacular.  I have never seen so much color! I could not believe how beautiful my home state of California could be. I will cherish the memory of this beautiful spring.

Whether I am painting on location or from photographs from my hikes, I spend many hours walking, observing and feeling before I start my work. Nothing makes me happier than when someone connects with one of my paintings. I have poured my heart and soul into this painting and I hope you can appreciate and enjoy it as much as I did.
